The Year of the Beachy Wave

Beach Waves w/ a side of duck face
Happy 2014! Hope this is the best (hair) (health) (career) (love) (everything) year for all of you!

Flipping through my camera roll I noticed that my hair has taken a turn...for the wavy. Now that I have "mastered" creating beachey waves I hardly ever wear my hair straight anymore.

I bought a cheap curling wand called the Herstyler Grande Pink Hair Professional Curling Iron from Amazon. This thing is amazing! 25$ and it's the only curling iorn that has ever curled and kept my style even after sleeping on it overnight.

I have stick straight hair naturally but his cheap-o product has changed my entire hair game.

All you do is curl maybe 1-2 inch sections , hold for 10 seconds and release the curl. I don't even need to use hairspray because it holds so well but I'll usually throw some on for volume.

I plan to put a video together soon on exactly how I do mine. Wow I never thought my lack of hairdresser skills would ever be making a video but hey, when in Rome.

Let me know if you have any other beach wave tips or questions. Happy hair day :)

Christmas on the beach? Well more like beachy waves. It was 20 degrees here.

Do the wave!

  1. Oooh, thank you for the recommendation on the curling wand! I recently watched a tutorial for beachy waves but her wand was like $180. You do indeed have it mastered by the looks of this so I'll keep an eye out for your video. :)

  2. Girl, get your tutorial on here stat! I just bought my sister in law a curling wand for Christmas. But, I would love to see yours and how you do it. I've been turned off on wands bc they seem more high maintenance, but you're intriguing me!
And your lip color in your duck face is beauty-full!

  3. How pretty is your hair?!! I am lovin your clothes too! I am found your blog from the lnk party! I hope you follow me back, I would LOVE that:)
